Lord Goutam Buddha, the originator of Buddhism, was born in Lumbini (ancient India) near Nepal in Kapilvastu in 563 BC. Due to his birth in Gautam gotra, he was called Goutam.

Born in the house of Maharaja Shuddhodhan, Siddhartha left the palace one night and went to the forest in search of a way to free the world from the slightest death and death. After years of hard work, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya (Bihar) and became Siddhartha Buddha.
